After  raising a successful family with Dr Walter K Urs  MD,  Krishna Raj Urs and another close relative  Krishna J Urs MD, he and Harriet  had the tragedy of seeing their  son Walter's death in 2012.  After seeing Venkataramaraj Urs's death in 2014, Harriet passed away in 2015. The couple gave USA many Christian citizens with Urs surname.

=================================================================

** Notes by Compiler:  Late Shri Venkataramraj Subbaraju Urs, appears to be  belonging to " Raju" group  with Telugu as mother tongue. His father's and mother's names were NOT of the typical Urs family names. Why his father used "Urs" surname  in late 1890s, though  he came from Tamil Nadu .to Mysore State,  instead of his  "Raju" suffix,  is not clear.  Whatever it is, Venkataramaraj's  MSc degree obtained in Bangalore (details of the College, subject details are not known), had the "Urs" suffix, and he carried this to USA and all the US records clearly show this "Urs"  last name for him, in his inventions and US Patents too. After marrying Chemist Ms.  Harriet Helen Zimmerman, in Cooks  county, Chicago, IL, his family with children, grand children and other close relations,  have given USA the following  "Urs"  names, all of them being Christians.

SV Urs, Harriet H Urs, Kamala Diane Urs, Walter Krishna Urs, Denise Ann Urs (also a US Foreign Service Officer), Jennifer Mary Urs, Kathryn K Urs, Krishna Raj Urs, Robert D Urs, Krishna J Urs, Mary Susan Urs, Kris N Urs, David Raja Urs, ( details of new births in the families are not known);   the most famous one is his son  'Krishna Raj Urs"',  who is the US Ambassador to Peru
