Young Arasu  Achiever of  3 Gold Medals   in the field of Physical Education.

He is Gagenahalli  Prabhakar Shashank ( Urs)  , son of Smt .Sudha  Rani and Shri. G.S.Prabhakar (Arasu)  belonging to  Gagenahalli Village, Bilikere Hobli, Hunsur taluk, Mysore Dist 571 103.

In the recently held(October 2020)  100th Convocation of the University of Mysore,  he was awarded 3 Gold Medals and 2 Cash Prizes for  achieving  FIRST RANK  in the  Master of Physical Education, M.PEd,  from  the Department of Studies in Physical Education and Sports Sciences of Manasa Gangotri, Mysore.

He did his graduation studies  leading to B.PEd,  during 2016-17 and  then the Post Graduate Degree of  M.PEd.   He is not the one to look left and right,  and he has already qualified in the KSET examination  for the Assistant Professorship.    He is presently working as a Director of Physical Education, in the Sheshadripuram Academy of Business Studies, in Kengeri Upanagara, Bangalore 560060.   This is one of the prestigious  colleges of the  Group    of  Sheshadripuram Educational  Institutes.

He is interested in sports activities involving Handball, Basket Ball, Badminton, Foot Ball, and Soft Ball. 

He is preparing to enter the UPSC examination to achieve an IPS   qualification. We, all,  of the community, wish him  the very best  and pray for his early success in the All India Police Service.

Mr Shashank laments that parents and Teachers in their educational institutions are not guiding their wards to the sports field, which   is  being neglected.

The only other Arasu personality in the same field  with a Doctorate  is Dr G.C. Sundara  Raje Urs. He is since retired as the Registrar of Bangalore University.

 v3.0 “ Sometimes, solace comes from the enemy” -- K.V.Prasad    who wrote  in the Title of a writeup in  "The Hindu" dated 14 August 2011, about Sqd.Ldr A.B.Dev ayya. Bravery recognised after years means Honour/Medal delayed, but, not Bravery denied. (1)      Squadron Leader Ajj a mada Bopaiah Dev ayya , flew a sub-sonic Indian Air Force fighter aircraft “Mystere”, on 07 September 1965, on a mission to attack Sargodha, a formidable Pakistani Air Base with others. Unfortunately, he never came back. He was declared “Missing in Action” (MIA). After the waiting period was over, he was declared “presumed dead”.
