  Major. B.S.Nanjaraje Urs. (1947 -2002) Indian Army. 164 Field Regiment Artillery His full name: B evinamaradadoddi.  S iddaraj Urs.   N anjaraje Urs. He was born  on 16th March 1947, as the only son  of Sri Siddaraj Urs, who retired as the Police Inspector In-charge,  of  Halasuru Police Station of Bangalore. Both Siddaraj Urs and son Nanjaraje Urs, belonged to Bevinamarada Doddi in Kanakapura. Sri Nanjaraje Urs joined the Officers Training Academy (OTA) at Chennai in 1969 and was commissioned to “164 Field Regiment” of Artillery. He was married on 10th May 1973 to Ms Radha Urs.  He has two children  daughter Smt Arathi Urs and son Anil Urs. He has fought in the 1971 War in both the Eastern and Western fronts. The other very useful support to the front lines, is the "transport master"   mules, who are   obviously   more in number.
